Firewall and floor covered with a foil backed insulator pad

The first area of the 69 Nova to be worked on was the interior. Since we knew the car would have a rather large power plant, that could put off a lot of heat and sound, the firewall and floor were covered in a foil back insulator pad.

Drop in carpet kit installed

Then a drop in carpet kit was installed.

Kit modified to fit around the roll cage

The kit was modified to fit around the roll cage.

Factory reproduction doors installed

Next the factory reproduction doors could be installed.

Re-covered and styled Fiero seats

A set of Fiero seats were re-covered and styled to match the factory back seat.

Starting on the motor install

With the interior near completion, attention was turned to the motor install.

Good look at the Hardcore 454 engine

For power, the owner went with the "Hardcore 454”, which produces 620 horsepower and nearly 600 foot/pounds of torque which is put to the ground through a turbo 400 transmission and a ford 9 inch rear end.

Front clip removed making it easier to make the adjustments for the new motor

With the front clip removed, it was much easier to make the necessary adjustments to get the new motor to fit.
